Eastwind Hotels have established a reputation for offering unforgettable experiences with their thoughtfully designed spaces and exceptional service. In June 2024, I had the opportunity to stay at the Eastwind Hotel in Oliverea Valley for a night. Additionally, I visited the Eastwind Hotel in Windham Mountain and was pleasantly surprised and excited about both locations! Let’s look at all of these locations and how they can be the perfect Catskills wedding venue!

EASTWIND OLIVEREA VALLEY

Located in the heart of the Catskills, Eastwind Oliverea Valley is a hidden gem that offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nestled among lush forests and rolling hills, this venue is perfect for couples seeking a tranquil and intimate wedding experience.

With both sunrise and sunset views, this newly-built 26 room hotel includes Dandelion Restaurant & Bar, Eastwind’s renowned Lushna Cabins, sauna, communal fire pit, plenty of indoor and outdoor games, and hammocks throughout.

The wedding venue

Eastwind Oliverea Valley offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for different wedding styles and sizes. Moreover, the main pavilion, which houses the restaurant Dandelion, serves as an ideal indoor venue for welcome receptions, cocktail hours, or after-parties. Additionally, it provides a perfect setting for intimate wedding dinners. The spacious lawn in front of the pavilion can accommodate a tent for larger gatherings, such as wedding receptions with dinner and dancing. For outdoor ceremonies, several locations on the property offer unique backdrops to suit your preferences. In terms of capacity, I recommend weddings with 50 to 150 guests.

The accommodations

From unique A-frame cabins to luxurious suites and traditional hotel rooms, this property offers a variety of accommodations for your guests, making it one of the favorite Catskills wedding venues.

During my stay, I experienced one of the eight hotel rooms, and it was wonderful. All rooms and Lushna suites feature air conditioning, a desk area, a comfortable king-size bed, a shower, and a fully equipped bathroom. The hotel room also had a massive window overlooking the property, making you feel like you were sleeping outdoors!I also visited both the A-Frames and the Lushna Suites, and I was impressed by both! The A-Frames feature a private, fully equipped bathroom with a sink, toilet, and open ceiling just a few steps away from the bedroom, while the Lushna Suites have everything encompassed within the same cabin. Each option offers a unique atmosphere, making it easy to accommodate your guests’ preferences.

Activities and amenities

This venue offers more than just beautiful spaces. Couples and their guests can take advantage of various on-site activities, such as hiking, biking, outdoor games, sauna and yoga. The hotel’s spa services are perfect for pre-wedding relaxation, ensuring everyone is refreshed and ready for the big day. They have a sauna & infrared light therapy cabins.

They also have multiple firepits throughout the property and provide complimentary “make your own s’mores” packets, which were delicious! Additionally, there’s a wall stocked with Hunter boots, umbrellas, hiking sticks, and backpacks for anyone who might need extra gear to explore the trails around the property.

Finally, we decided to use their breakfast basket delivery to complete the experience, and it was such a delight. You can easily order the basket through the app by 9:00 PM the night before, selecting your preferred items and delivery time. Our basket included fresh orange juice, coffee, milk, homemade yogurt, granola, fruits, fresh pastries, and a hard-boiled egg! We enjoyed our breakfast right outside our room in the provided Adirondack chairs, which was a wonderful way to wake up and savor nature a little longer.

With an amazing view of the Windham Resort & Moutain, the Eastwind Hotel in Windham is definitely another one of our favorite Catskills wedding venues. It offers different style of accommodations to cater to all of your guests preferences.
